A big thank you to everyone who has sent in...

Hello from St Albans Cats Protection!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 10th Anniversary celebrations on the 6th October
and also to those who made Donations. This will all go towards paying our increasing vet bills and
helping us supply two new fosterers!!

Neutering

As a branch we are committed to helping those on low incomes to neuter their cats. Did you know that one female cat can be responsible for 20,000 descendants in just 5 years!! It is a misconception that it is the right thing to do to let a female have one litter and if everyone did this, the problem of unwanted cats just goes on and on. All you have to do is contact Sandi our neutering officer on 0845 371 2064 and she will discuss with you the ways that we can help you to have your cat neutered at either a reduced cost or free of charge.

About Us
We welcome new members and/or volunteers who are attracted to fostering, and volunteers for fundraising help, which is usually on a Saturday. If you are reading this now, perhaps, you had thought about being a volunteer but  were worried because you didn't know what commitment would be involved. Please telephone or email us today and we will send you some brief information that may whet your appetite. Or visit our VOLUNTEER page to see if there is something you are interested in doing. We'd love to hear from you!!

The postcodes we cover
The St Albans Branch covers postcodes AL1 - AL5.  If you live outside this area but still want to adopt we would be pleased to help you if the Cats Protection Branch in your area does not have any suitable cats for you.
The new CP Branch for Welwyn & Hatfield covers postcodes: AL6 - AL10.  Please check their Website at www.welwynhatfieldcats.org.uk or contact them on 0845 371 1855.

Our mission is based upon the charity's three keys aims
:
To help stray and unwanted cats and kittens, caring for and rehoming them where possible.
To encourage the neutering of all cats and kittens not required for breeding.
To inform the public about the care of cats and kittens. Our work doesn't always stop there as we also seek to alleviate the problem of unwanted cats, by offering information and advice about responsible cat ownership and promoting neutering to stop unwanted kittens and cats as an effective solution.
